Yeah, that's right.TWO blog posts in one day.
It's a two-fer!
Normally I wouldn't give you guys so much, but when you do something incredibly goofy, you want to share it with the peeps you love.
I'm in my basement, switching laundry over to the dryer.
A teeny, tiny (barely an inch long) centipede crawls across the dryer and goes down the crack between it and the washer.
What do I do?
Scream like a fucking girl.
Yeah, no purple drapes, but that was me.
Now let's stop to think about this little scenario for a minute, shall we?
Fact: I saw a bug, an arthropod to be exact.
Fact: That bug crawled across my dryer.
Fact: I screamed.
Myth: The centipede will leap onto my face.
Myth: The centipede will eat my face.
Myth: The centipede will call upon his other centipede buddies who will come to me in the middle of the night and eat my entire body, scraping the bones clean so that only Temperance Brennan would be able to figure out my identity after sitting in a Jane Doe drawer o'bones for years.
Okay...maybe you had to be there.

In which I share music and stuff...
It's New Music Tuesday!
Or rather...I discovered new music and today is the day I have time to blog about it.
But doesn't New Music Tuesday sound so much better?
Let's say it again, shall we.
New Music Tuesday!
My inner monologue is telling me it's time to move on, so without further adieu I bring you the amazing music stylings of....
The Avett Brothers.
Go here to check out their website!
I had the wonderful opportunity to attend their show at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. Thanks to a very stylish, self hair cutting, luminary I'll call Crystal, I was able to attend said concert FOR FREE with my best of besties. And let me tell you...it was A-MAZE-ING!!!
Easily one of the best concerts I have ever been to. And I've seen some shit!
The volume level was perfect.
I could hear every instrument, every word of every song, and I was close enough to catch a glimpse or two of some Avett hotties.

Hello Amish/Asian cuties!
Admittedly I didn't have any of their albums; just one song downloaded as a freebie from Zune. But I couldn't wait to go home and download away!
And to share with you all.....
"Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise" is my newest favorite song. Ever. I think I've listened to it at least 50 times already. Just listen to those lyrics.
Amazing.
That's all for this week.
Next week we'll talk about the awesome chick who opened for these guys in Reading.
If you want to get a head start, just go to YouTube and type in Nicole Atkins.
Brilliant!

'They' say you're never too old.
Decide what to be, and go be it.
Easier said than done.
Or is it.
I have always known what I wanted to do with my life.
But then life happened.
I tripped over fear, doubt and the foolish idea that I wouldn't be good.
The dream became part of the background while things like bills, marriage and school clothes take center stage.
And the dream is in danger of dying.
The hope that goes along with dreams is dwindling into nothingness.
But I go to a concert and suddenly that hope is slapping me in the face. It threatens to take hold of my heart again and lead me down a path of fear and doubt.
My goodness how it calls me. I want so desperately to stand on a stage; to pour my heart out in song to anyone who will listen. I want to jump around on stage the same way I do in my darkened bedroom. I want to look out into the audience and see people in love with the way the music makes them feel.
But I don't know where to begin.
Can I just up and turn my life into something completely different than what it is now?
That isn't fair to the little human who depends on me to be a stable mother, is it?
Am I too old to begin again?
