The State of Things

I've been feeling a bit more "clear" about things lately. I can feel a definite difference in myself lately. I'm OKAY with being alone. I felt the exact same way when I finally came to terms with moving out on my own for the first time. I can feel myself moving on. Don't get me wrong, I'm not jumping for joy at the fact that my marriage is ending. But I suppose I'm moving along in all the normal steps or processes that most people do. I am still sad because I made a promise to someone and I can't help but feel that I failed. But I know that I did what I could to change the things that I was doing wrong. I was (and still am) working toward forgiveness, but I can not change how he feels or how he proceeds to "try". (I'm still not sure what his definition of trying is because it doesn't match anything within a printed dictionary). Bottom line, I can't wait the rest of my life for someone else to realize how great I am. On another note: Little man is doing GREAT in school! He absolutely loves it. In fact he likes kindergarten much more than his preschool. He comes home excited to practice his letters and numbers and this past weekend he asked me to help him write an entire sentence!! WOW! First Day! I'm on my way to making new friends, I guess. At the suggestion of my "internet pal" (LOL) Alex, I have signed up for a local mommies board. So far most of the members are stay-at-home-mothers which severly impedes the chance of a meet up, but I'm hanging in there. Who knows, I might make some new friends that can abandon me if my future second marriage fails! That's all for now...I need to relieve my fluid intake before going back to work. Peace out!
