Ryan: Ryan B and I play at recess. We run away from a girl named Ali.Me: Does she like that?
Ryan: Yeah. Nobody else plays with her.
Me: Why?
Ryan: She's sort of weird.
Me: That's not very nice.
Ryan: I don't care that she's weird.
Me: Oh. Well what makes her weird?
Ryan: She picks her nose and eats the boogers.
Um.
Okay.
Ryan: She also has to have an adult with her in class.
Me: Oh. So she needs a little extra help learning?
Ryan: Yeah. She yells out stuff sometimes.
Me: Does that bother you?
Ryan: No.
Me: Well I think it's really cool that you hang out with someone even though other people make fun of her.
Ryan: Yeah. It's not like it's her fault.
Boogers aside, I think I am the luckiest mom.
Ever.
